HOUSE HISTORY
Have you wondered who lived in your home in the past? Whether it's a country manor house or a Victorian tenement, the history of your home and the people who have lived in it will be researched and woven into a narrative report telling the story of the home and its inhabitants from its earliest times. Like our bespoke family history research service, research and fees are all discussed and agreed in advance.
FEES
BESPOKE RESEARCH
£35 per hour with a minimum research period of one hour.
Before any research starts, an initial consultation is held to discuss your objectives as well as any previous research, records held or information known about the family or house to be investigated. From this consultation, the focus and detail of the research is agreed and documented, along with cost and any expenses associated with conducting the research.

For Scottish family research, expenses normally incurred relate to the £15 day pass for the ScotlandsPeople Centre. However, this charge will be pro-rata in the event your research does not require a full day of research. Should any extensive travel be needed to fulfil your research, this would be discussed and costs agreed in advance.
GIVE A GIFT OF THEIR FAMILY HISTORY
Gift certificates available from £10 and can be used towards family tree packages, house histories or bespoke research.

The report is brilliant. Thank you. Interesting to see how names were carried from generation to generation and great to finally find out where in Ireland my family came from.

I was adopted as a baby and as I approached my 80th birthday, I decided to find out about my birth family. I had little information but Catriona quickly unearthed details of my background. I'm now in regular contact with 3 siblings which would not have been possible without Catriona's expertise. Many thanks.
